"The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house." – 1 Cor 16:19
“The early concept of the church had no connection with a church building. The church was something else: a group of Christians drawn together by the Holy Spirit in a place where they worked together in a certain form...” – Francis Schaeffer, The Church at the End of the Twentieth Century

WHAT IS HOUSE CHURCH?
House churches have been gaining a lot of attention recently. While some might think that house church or simple church is just another phenomenon that will inevitably die, we believe that it is a restoration of the church to God's original intent.
MOREWHAT WE DO
We make disciples of Jesus Christ resulting in the multiplication of house or simple churches in neighborhoods or communities, in schools and in the workplace in the Philippines and beyond. This is our major thrust.
MORETRANSFORMED COMMUNITIES
Traditionally “ministry success” is measured by the number of churches planted and the number of people attending those churches. However we believe that a real barometer of a ministry’s effectiveness is transformed individuals, families and communities.
MOREOFWs AND HOUSE CHURCHES
The Stargrass Coalition sees every Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) as a reproducing disciple in countries they work in. House or simple churches are the ideal expression of church in many of these countries.
MORECULTURE-SENSITIVE
We are seeking to develop an environment for culture-sensitive expressions of God’s kingdom. Our goal in this regard is to become an authentic and organic Filipino house church through contextualization of the gospel.

Year-enders are time for planning, evaluation, and fresh strategies. For church organizations, it is an occasion to revisit everything that they have been busy with the whole year and try to see how it square-off with God’s mandate for His people.

In the past 4 decades the church growth movement has attracted countless numbers of church leaders who would grab just about anything that promised to raise the number of people in their congregation. Even leaders who were genuinely concerned about the depth of spirituality of individual members got caught in the maelstrom.

Has it ever occurred to you that the present emphasis on “praise and worship services” is a step backward rather than forward in the church’s concept and practice of “biblical worship”? May I invite you to a biblical theologian’s critique of the development of “worship” in church history since Pentecost?
